Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. If you have a passion for retail and enjoy interacting with customers, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly and efficient service
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions
- Maintain accurate cash drawer and perform cash register reconciliations
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide recommendations
- Stock shelves and maintain merchandise displays
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and sales events
Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Multilingual skills are a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
