Description: We are seeking a versatile and reliable Facilities Floater to join our team at our center located in the vibrant Discovery District of downtown Columbus, Ohio. The Facilities Floater will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facility by providing support across various areas as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the facility, including classrooms, common areas, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.

- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

- Monitor and replenish supplies, including paper products, cleaning supplies, and classroom materials, to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.

- Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for meetings, events, and activities, including arranging furniture, equipment, and materials as needed.

- Support the maintenance and repair of facility equipment, fixtures, and systems, including light bulbs, plumbing fixtures, and HVAC filters.

- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and cleanliness concerns, reporting findings to appropriate staff members.

- Assist with outdoor maintenance tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, and trash removal to ensure a safe and welcoming outdoor environment for children, families, and staff.

- Collaborate with administrative staff and other team members to coordinate facility-related tasks and projects, providing assistance and support as needed.

- Adhere to health and safety regulations, sanitation protocols, and emergency procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in facilities management or custodial services preferred.

- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, custodial services, or a related field preferred.

- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies used in commercial or educational settings.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.

- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance and cleanliness issues.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team to accomplish shared goals and objectives.

- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, parents, and visitors.

- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
