A warm and vibrant family in Gluckstadt, MS, seeks an experienced, developmentally focused Nanny to provide nurturing care for their two energetic boys. Initially, their Nanny will solely care for the infant but will eventually care for both children.

Position Details:

Location: Gluckstadt, MS

Start Date: May 4, 2024

Live-in/Live-out: Live-out

Ages of Children: 2-year-old (B) & 7-month-old (B)

Working Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 35 hours per week, with the general schedule of Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM

Compensation: The family is offering $20.00 - $25.00 Per Hour commensurate with experience.

Benefits: Paid federal holidays, 2 weeks PTO, Sick days, Performance-based raises & bonuses

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for feedings, diaper changes, naps, establishing a schedule, and other infant related tasks
  • Preparing and planning nutritious meals and snacks
  • Potty training
  • Monitoring and tracking the children's developmental milestones
  • Providing attentive and loving care to the infant, focusing on their well-being and development.
  • Following established routines and schedules for feeding, nap times, and playtime.
  • Ensuring the safety and security of the child at all times.
  • Collaborating with the parents to plan age-appropriate activities that stimulate the child's growth and development.
  • Being well-versed in developmental milestones to promote the child's overall progress.
  • Communicating effectively and regularly with the parents and updating them on the child's daily activities and progress.
  • Performing light housekeeping duties related to the children's care
  • Washing & folding children’s laundry
  • Performing emergency procedures such as Pediatric CPR and First-aid in the event of an emergency
  • Ensuring a safe, sanitary, and organized environment
  • Introducing children to activities aimed at their physical, and cognitive development
  • Managing & aiding in the development of children’s social, emotional, and physical needs
  • Providing positive interaction activities targeted at providing stimulus, growth, and development
  • Observe & notify parents of any signs of emotional, behavioral, or developmental delays and/or regressions
  • Exude a positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team
  • Maintain professional and positive relationships with parents/guardians and children

Job Requirements:

  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States
  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle
  • Pass Screening Process, which includes social media screening, reference verifications, and criminal and motor vehicle driving record background checks
  • Up-to-date Pediatric CPR & First Aid Certification, or willing to take course to obtain certification
  • A minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in a professional childcare environment.
  • 3 years of childcare experience
  • 3 years of Nanny experience in private home (Preferred)
  • Must have a minimum of 2-3 professional childcare references
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development
  • Ability to monitor and track the children's developmental milestones
  • Ability to perform tasks such as sitting, bending, and lifting children
  • Ability to prepare nutritious meals (if/when necessary)
  • Ability to transport and accompany children to weekly extracurricular activities and outings
  • Be an initiator, self-reflector, hard worker, and an amazing communicator
  • Be organized, reliable, punctual, positive, attentive, creative, warm, nurturing, and engaging.
  • Must have phenomenal collaborative skills
  • Have an intense love for all children and their overall development

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
