Heaven Hill Brands is Hiring a Samson & Surrey Senior Financial Analyst Near Louisville, KY

This role is an office/hybrid position based in Louisville, KY with minimum 30% travel to Miami office.

What the Role Is

The Senior Financial Analyst will work directly with the Samson & Surrey leadership team, managing and monitoring budgets, leading business planning (forecasting and budgeting) for the full P&L and providing business-facing analytical support on specific projects. This role will be responsible for interpreting complex data and collaborating with departments across the organization to maximize Samson & Surrey portfolio performance. This individual must be able to query data repositories, generate periodic reports, and devise methods for quickly identifying areas of performance concerns.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

  • Coordinate and lead budget planning process to provide timely, accurate, and complete information as required by the business.
  • Maintain the annual budget and latest estimates in Heaven Hill’s (parent company) corporate planning tool.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of P&L variances to budget and year-over-year trends, as well as suggest corrective actions when necessary.
  • Provide accurate, up-to-date information and analysis on inventory management and changes to cost of goods.
  • Coordinate and lead in-year forecast/budget updates
  • Develop suitable monthly reports and dashboards for full P&L and balance sheet review.
  • Lead financial project management – e.g. procurement analysis, business development, ROI calculations
  • Ensure the Samson & Surrey team meets all financial deliverables in the annual corporate planning calendar.
  • Provide support to commercial pricing and value management.
  • Track and maintain Key Performance Indicators
  • Train Samson & Surrey team members on reporting tools.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis.

Who You Are…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline
  • Minimum five (5) years of work-related experience in business analysis or finance
  • Previous experience in sales, marketing, financial or operational analysis, research, and problem solving
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to leadership
  • Excellent critical thinking skills - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Analytical skills, in particular gathering data from a variety of sources, and presenting it in formats suitable for a wide variety of audiences.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience using ERP Systems and Microsoft Office tools and products including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Passion and personal accountability for maintaining high standards in his/her work
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, results-oriented individual
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% is required

Valued but not Required Skills and Experience:

  • MBA and/or CPA
  • Prior experience with corporate budgeting and forecasting
  • Previous experience in the distilled spirits industry
  • Prior experience with Workday Adaptive Planning
