Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Coordinator to join our team. As an Insurance Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of insurance claims and verifying patient insurance coverage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental office administration and possess knowledge of medical coding and terminology.

Responsibilities:

- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients

- Obtain necessary authorizations and referrals for dental procedures

- Process insurance claims and submit them to insurance companies

- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any issues or discrepancies

- Maintain accurate patient records and update insurance information as needed

- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation for billing purposes

- Communicate with patients regarding their insurance coverage and any financial responsibilities

- Stay updated on changes in insurance regulations, policies, and procedures

Experience:

- Previous experience working in a medical office or dental office setting

- Proficiency in dental terminology, and dental coding

- Strong knowledge of insurance verification processes and managed care plans

- Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA regulations

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
