RN - Emergency Room
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team in Southwestern Arizona!. As an ER Nurse, you will provide critical care to patients in emergency situations, ensuring their safety and well-being. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that requires quick thinking, effective communication, and the ability to handle high-stress situations. Duties (not all inclusive):
- Perform initial patient assessments and triage based on severity of condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor vital signs and provide ongoing patient monitoring
- Assist with medical procedures such as wound care, splinting, and suturing
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient information accurately in medical records
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment plan, and discharge instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure patient safety at all times
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to work in the state of Arizona
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC-preferred
- Require a Minimum of 2 years experience working in an Emergency Room setting
- Proficiency in performing vital signs assessment, medication administration, IV infusion, and pain management
- Experience with ambulatory surgery center or ophthalmology is a plus
- Familiarity with medical records systems and electronic health records (EHR)
- Ability to lift and move patients safely using proper body mechanics
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions
