Heartworks Early Education is Hiring a Toddler Assistant Teacher, 4 weeks Guaranteed Paid Time Off Near Essex, VT

To be more comparable with K-12 primary education positions, we now offer 4 weeks of guaranteed paid time off for employees. Our school calendars include paid closures between Christmas and New Year's Day, February and April vacations (to align with the Chittenden County Public School District), the week of July 4th, along with multiple federal holidays and added professional development days throughout the year. We are seeking a Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our team in South Burlington, where our school director carries more than 6 years of leadership experience and is a trusted and dedicated mentor.

Designated one-hour break per shift. Following a set schedule that helps children establish healthy eating, sleeping, and bathroom routines.
Working in close contact with your co-teacher and school colleagues. Implementing and evolving the Heartworks philosophy of teaching. REQUIREMENTS: Adhere to all VT Public Health and Child Care Regulations. Meet at least one of the following requirements: At least a Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level One (1) or Two (2) Certificate; or At least a current CDA (Child Development Associate) and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger; or At least a State Board of Education approved Human Services Program Certificate that emphasizes child development or early childhood education and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger; or At least successful completion of the Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger; or At least successful completion of a three (3) college credit course in child or human development or a three (3) college credit course for school age care and education and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger Authorize state-required background check.
Act as mandated reporter, both on and off campus. Help ensure classroom environments adhere to NAEYCs Anti-Bias Early Education. Ability to stand, move, run, and play for the majority of the day.
