Position Summary:

The Meat Cutter is responsible for supporting the Production team, as well as additional duties or tasks.

General Purpose of the Position:

The Meat Cutter will assist in the Production room. This position reports to Production Supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Essential Duties & Core Responsibilities:

As a Meat Cutter you need to be able to do everything in the Production room. This includes:
- Run equipment, cut, and trim the meat, run machinery, and any tasks asked of you by the Production Supervisor.
Unpack and pack meat products as dictated by Supervisor(s)
Maintain clean production and common area environments
Additional duties after training as requested by Supervisor(s)

Ability to accurately follow detailed procedures and processes
Must have the ability to carry our instructions furnished in both oral and written form
Always maintain a professional working relationship with co-workers
Ability to act in an ethical, honest, and professional manner always
Ability to work comfortably under pressure
Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read, speak and write English and Spanish clearly

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent preferred

Pay Range:

$18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without accommodation.

Regularly work in a refrigerated environment
Occasionally withstand freezer temperatures
Regular and prolonged standing, bending, and walking
Ability to be able to bend and stoop as needed
The employee must occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 70 pounds
Repeated use of hands and arms
The noise level in the work environment is usually high
