Heartland Human Services, a local leader in behavioral healthcare services, is seeking a full-time Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Therapist to join our team.
The ideal candidate should possess Certification from the State of Illinois as a Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) or a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or human service field. Degree must qualify for Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor licensure in the state of Illinois. Individuals not possessing licensure must obtain such within a timeframe established by HHS. A Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in Counseling may be used in lieu of the CADC or Master's Degree. Experience working with adolescents and families is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities include: following agency policies and procedures, providing outpatient therapy in individual and or group settings for adolescents, adults and their families to address substance use concerns.
