Required Experience:~ 1 -2 Years Experience in Medical field such as; Clinical Laboratory, Doctors Office, or Long Term Care strongly preferred
~ High School Diploma or GED
Wage Based on experience $14.00 - $17.00
Shift Full-Time, Monday through Friday 08:00 - 4:30pm (with 30-minute lunch). Includes a weekend/On Call Rotation in Dispatch once fully trained.
***DRUG FREE WORKPLACE***On-Site Only - Not a Remote Work RoleSpecimen Processor Summary:Process specimens, check orders, send outs, and lab requisitions for errors. Dispatches phlebotomy personnel, monitors all Dispatch Boards. Releases labels for tubes, label tubes, delivers samples to laboratory, and resolves issues with samples. Files paperwork, answers phones, and all other duties as assigned.

~ Experience with multi-line telephone systems
~ Proficient with computer use and ease of learning new systems
Position Duties:~ Process morning route specimens for testing, to include collecting, labeling and delivering to lab
~ Process specimens to be sent to reference labs accurately and assure that billing info is correct
~ Troubleshoot specimen problems and notify facility personnel as appropriate and document action taken
~ Assure that all testing is delivered to the lab and all issues are resolved as efficiently as possible
~ Dispatch phlebotomy personnel as necessary
~ Collect orders accurately into the EMR and other data entry
~ Release labels or assist in releasing labels as necessary
~ File paperwork
~ Answer phones
~ Assist in stocking phlebotomy area with supplies
~ All other duties as assigned
