The Fleet Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of all Heartland Farms vehicles. The mechanic will be working in a fast-paced, high volume private fleet. This mixed fleet includes various makes and models of vehicles.
The Fleet Maintenance Technician’s work schedule is highly dependent on the time of year. Staff will be expected to work as needed, which will require a great deal of flexibility as to the hours per day/week and the times worked. For example, during 6 week period starting in late August through early October, (Harvest) there are weeks where you may be asked to work 6 or 7 days per week, but during the 5 winter months starting in November, you will can work as few as 4 days per week.
The Farm generally operates 7 days per week, but he Fleet Maintenance Technician can reasonably expect to work from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, M-F, during the growing season, and from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm over Winter.
