Business Systems Support Manager / Analyst [Accounting and Finance – Accounts Payable]

Heartland Dental is seeking a Business Systems Support Manager/Analyst to fulfill a leadership role by supporting the vision and mission of Heartland Dental to positively impact company goals. This individual will support the design, implementation and ongoing management of the tools, systems, and processes used in streamlining the procure to pay process. 

With more than 1,700 dental offices supported across 39 states, over 20,000 team members and over 2,600 supported doctors in our support, Heartland Dental has a proven track record of growth and success. We’re looking for professional individuals who are open, positive and mentally flexible to join our network of support.

This individual will work as part of a dynamic team within the Accounts Payable Department to meet company goals.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Support change management and user adoption of procure to pay tools and processes
  • Develop and facilitate internal and external training sessions to inform users of system functionality and changes
  • Implement support procedures and best practices
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Participate in testing efforts for system enhancements and/or business process changes
  • Ensure documentation is created and maintained appropriately
  • Support suppliers on Business Network as is relates to basic portal navigation and training
  • Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers
  • Escalate vendor issues and coordination resolutions as needed
  • Engage in ad-hoc projects to contribute to new initiatives within Accounts Payable
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize system improvements based on business needs
  • Provide support to end users, assisting them with technical issues and answering questions, which includes managing day to day inquiries:
  • Respond to general “how to” questions (change approvers, check order status, troubleshoot common issues)
  • Follow up on open items to be sure procure to pay process runs efficiently without business interruption, including following up with various internal/external stakeholders to ensure required action is taken in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field
  • 3 years technology support experience (preferably with procure to pay application).
  • Technical aptitude with a willingness to learn new systems
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in evolving environment, comfortable with change
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various levels of Heartland employees, stakeholders, and cross-functional business leaders
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions based on cause/affect relationships and present potential solutions that support operational stability
  • Desire and ability to work closely and collaboratively with other members of procurement, accounts payable, accounting, finance, and operations
  • The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required; and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP ARIBA
  • Experience with SAP S/4Hana

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
