The Hearthside culture is a game changer and a powerful competitive advantage for the company and our customers. Job Summary: Hearthside is looking for a dynamic Warehouse Clerk who will have a positive impact on the operations team.As a Warehouse Clerk you will perform shipping duties for the plant, including scheduling, tagging products and maintaining an organized warehouse. What you’ll be doing: Checking in driversOperating forkliftsChecking Purchase OrdersScheduling trucks for loading/unloadingPreparing shipping documents and entering data on a daily basisMaintain records of all products and ordersVerify Seals on trucksMaintain customer shipment filesMaintain Open communications with Corporate Customer Service to maximize shipments and minimize problemsWork with Plant General Manager and Supervisors to establish load out and shipment schedules and keep them informed on orders (distribute copies, etc.)Coordinate containers, export documents, export documents and shipping documents for export shipmentsMaintain good relationship with the trucking companiesPerform other duties assigned What you’ll need: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
