They must have an understanding of the task assigned, able to multi-task, communicate objectives and have a solid understanding of the equipment. Job Duties:Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Understanding objectives of responsibilities and carrying out the assigned taskHelping to change the culture of cleaning to include pest controlDisassemble equipment to provide a deep cleanUtilize electrical knowledge to clean in and around electrical componentsHave the ability to identify insect activity and utilize pheromone trapsUnderstanding of SSOP’sLift/move up to 50 lbs regularly without assistance. Perform repetitive reaching over head, under and across throughout shift. Learn the Master Sanitation ProgramClean product debris, lint, dust, oil and grease etc. from machines, overhead pipes, and conveyors. Clean screen filters. Scrub processing tanks and vats.Operate pressure washer / steam clean equipment as directed by supervisor.Remove unfit pallets.Pick up reusable scrap for salvage and stores in containers.Wash walls, ceilings and woodwork. Wash windows, door panels and sills.Empty wastebaskets and empty and cleans ashtrays.Transport trash and waste to disposal area.May operate industrial truck to transport materials within plant.Start pumps to force cleaning solution through production machinery, piping or vats.Regular attendance is required between the assigned start and end times for work.Required Competencies & Knowledge:Microsoft Word and ExcelProduction schedule boardMechanical background a plusKnowledge of: Experience in cleaning the task assigned to workKnowledge of all plant safety policies as well as the sanitation cleaning chemical programHave an understanding of the task assigned; such as but not limited to, cleaning baggers, cleaning wrappers and/or cleaning laminator systems.
