Job Summary :

TheSanitation Team is responsible for completing all daily tasks as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor / Team Lead. They must understand the task assigned, able to multi-task, communicate objectives and have a solid understanding of the equipment.

Job Duties :

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following :

• Ensure that all sanitation supplies are on hand for what is scheduled.
• Maintain sanitation tools and supplies in clean and orderly fashion (GMP’s).
• Follow and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.s) and company policies at all times; must be familiar with G.M.P. requirements.
• May suggest work orders that might be needed.
• Promote harmonious work relations between employees in all departments and all levels of management.
• Recommend methods to improve efficiency of Food Safety crew.
• Responsible for safety issues, including contributing to accident reports when requested by management.
• Responsible for complying with customer service and quality standards.
• Arrange boxes, material and hand trucks or other industrial equipment in neat and orderly manner.
• Clean product debris, lint, dust, oil and grease etc. from machines, overhead pipes, and conveyors. Clean screen filters.

Scrub processing tanks and vats.

• Operate pressure washer / steam clean equipment as directed by supervisor.
• Remove unfit pallets.
• Maintain supply area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Maintain overhead catch tarps and scrapers
• Maintain and trim strings from conveyor belts as needed.
• Clean and maintain production sinks, paper towel, soap and sanitizer stations
• Clean floors and apply floor drier.
• Clean strip curtains.
• Pick up reusable scrap for salvage and stores in containers.
• Wash walls, ceilings and woodwork. Wash windows, door panels and sills.
• Empty wastebaskets and empty and cleans ashtrays.
• Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
• May operate industrial truck to transport materials within plant.
• Start pumps to force cleaning solution through production machinery, piping or vats.
• Regular attendance is required between the assigned start and end times for work.
• Establish and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the group, the company and the community.
• Any foreign materials found in product or ingredients need to be reported to a supervisor immediately.
