Pay:

• Starting at $22.50/hr - $36.50/hr - or more, based on experience
• Shift Differential Pay for 2nd and 3rd shifts
• Time and a half overtime pay

Shift(s) Available:

• 2nd Shift - Monday through Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm, weekend OT offered as needed
• 3rd Shift - Monday through Friday 10:00pm-6:30am, weekend OT offered as needed

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is focused on maintaining and troubleshooting food packaging equipment lines which includes cartoning lines, cup lines, baggers, horizontal form fill & seal, as well as fill & seal pouch packaging systems. Following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety requirements to assure production of safe, quality products in a clean and safe environment for plant operation. Additionally, you will assist with preventative equipment maintenance, and parts ordering as required.

Core Responsibilities:

• Diagnose equipment problems, replace or repair parts, test and make-adjustments.
• Conduct manufacturing machine maintenance according to skill level and pursuant to safety policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those unusual situations to the facility maintenance manager.
• Utilizing Microsoft Office, order and schedule parts as well as jobs.
• Perform work in a safe manner and use (GMP’s) at all times.
• Use of own hand tools, required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications:

• Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience, required
• Basic Electrical troubleshooting skills, required
• PLC troubleshooting, required
• Full understanding of 3-phase motor controls, required
• Use of own hand tools, required
• Welding experience a plus!
• Able to communicate and take direction from the Maintenance Manager.
• Able to collaborate with Line Workers, Leads, Supervisors and Plant Manager.
• Able to read, write and speak English
• Bilingual capabilities are a plus!
• Legible record-keeping and data entry skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) year trades degree and/or 4 years of mechanical maintenance experience
• Must be 18 years of age

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Manufacturing environment - exposure to a variety of machines and noise levels
• Geneva is a warm MFG environment
• Team environment - must be able to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional manner.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
• Will be required to work weekend shifts as needed
