Description

Radiologic Tech specializes in x-ray and computed tomography (CT) imaging. Will perform x rays and other diagnostic imaging examinations on patients. MRI technologists operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to create diagnostic.

Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education: Associate Degree.

B. Personal Job-Related Skills: Effective oral and written communication abilities.

C. Valid State Licensure, Registry or Certification

Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require extended periods of standing and walking. Pushing and pulling of wheelchairs and stretchers. Occasional heavy lifting, including lifting and supporting patients that may suddenly become weak or helpless. Ability to comprehend and follow verbal or written instructions.

OTHER SIGNIFICANT REQUIREMENTS:

A. Maintains HIPAA required and all other confidentiality while working with confidential matters on a daily basis.

B. Provides service direct to patients while maintaining a positive patient relations atmosphere.

C. Follows aseptic procedures and procedures for using precautions when involved in direct patient contact or handling potentially infectious materials.

D. Follows safety guidelines and policies for the Hospital.
