MOTOR Information Systems, an operating unit of Hearst, is searching for an experienced, enthusiastic, creative, and driven technical product manager. This is a new position that will be working on MOTOR Insights, a fast-growing product that integrates automotive repair order transactions between shop management systems, third-party software, and service providers. Job Summary:

As a Technical Product Manager, you play a crucial role in leading the vision and execution of MOTOR's Insights products. You report directly to the Product Portfolio Manager for Insights and work closely with multiple Scrum teams for Application Development. You possess a solid technical background, experience in Agile development and a passion for delivering customer-focused products.

Responsibilities:

• Product Ownership: Own and manage the product backlog, prioritize tasks based on business value, and work with the scrum team to ensure efficient execution of product goals.
• Scrum Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Scrum team to define product requirements, create user stories, and ensure that the team understands the product vision.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison between internal and external stakeholders and the scrum team, ensuring clear communication of product functionality, business objectives, and product development status.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape to inform product decisions.
• Product Strategy: Executes a product strategy that aligns with the company’s overall strategy and goals.
• Performance Metrics: Define and track key product metrics to measure product success and inform future product decisions.

Minimum Expertise Required:

• Technical Expertise: Strong technical background with the ability to understand and discuss architectural concepts, schedule tradeoffs, and new opportunities with technical team members.
• Scrum/Agile Experience: Proven experience working in an Agile development environment, with a deep understanding of Scrum principles and practices.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product vision and requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire a team, manage conflicts, and make critical decisions under pressure.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Customer Focus: Strong customer focus with the ability to empathize with customer needs and translate them into product requirements.
• Technology Experience: Exposure to teams working with .NET Core, SQL, ETL and AWS
