Healthy Hound Playground is an upscale dog daycare and boarding kennel located in Rockville, MD. We are looking to hire folks whose personalities and work ethic will match the high standards we have set for this innovative dog daycare. You will enjoy working here if you love dogs and are diligent about following direction. Training is available for those new to the industry!

Dog Day Care Attendant Position/ Handler Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the day care room to ensure all dogs are playing safely and behaving properly
• Walking dogs during outdoor potty breaks
• Training to learn our methods and standards for safety
• Playing with dogs when the situation calls for it
• Feeding dogs
• Cleaning tasks as necessary
• Comforting dogs that are stressed

Required Candidate Qualities:

• Genuine Love for Dogs / animals
• Calm Disposition
• Attention to Detail when completing tasks and marking forms to track feeding, walks and medication administration
• Able to Act Quickly when needed for the welfare of the dogs
• Punctuality & Reliable Attendance
• Able to work Holidays
• Must have Reliable Transportation

• Initial compensation is based prior experience.
• Raises are given according to merit. There is no minimum timeframe for our employees to receive raises. Typically we do not give fractional raises like most other area kennels, but mostly do full dollar raises based on performance.
