Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (no nights or weekends)
Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations of patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood counts, bone marrow biopsies, and imaging studies.
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and patient preferences.
Prescribe and administer medications, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care therapies.
Manage side effects and complications of treatment.
Educate and counsel patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and prognoses.
Collaborate with oncologists, hematologists, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in hematology and oncology.
Requirements
Master's degree in Nursing and current APRN license in Florida.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated compassion and commitment to patient-centered care.
Proficiency in EMR systems and electronic charting.
