Job Description

Physician Assistant is needed, the candidate will provide medical services to patients under the direction of a Physician. Job duties of the Physician Assistant may include:•Performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist Physician in diagnosing medical and surgical problems and prescribing necessary treatment and services for quality patient care •Taking patient histories, conducting physical examinations, and recording the data in the patient's record; writing progress notes and narrative discharge summaries; preparing patient workups and summaries, noting pertinent positive and negative findings •Ordering and scheduling laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explaining the necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient•Carrying out therapeutic procedures such as cast application and removal, wound suturing, and dressing changes; monitoring progress of patients, reporting progress to supervising Physician, and maintaining record of each patient's progress •Participating in basic science and clinical research projects conducted by supervising Physician; preparing statistical reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions •Making work assignments for assigned nursing and technical personnel; reviewing the work of lower-rated employees; training new personnel•Participating in teaching medical students and Physician Assistant students in techniques and procedures which are unique to specific clinical setting•Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program.2. Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Inc; Licensed by the State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners.3. Certified in Basic and Advanced Life Support.4. At least 2 years experience in general adult medicine and emergency room.5. Additional Information

Wage range is commensurate depends on education and experience.
