Job Description
Responds to routine and emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the ill and injured, which includes, acting independently using excellent judgment, prioritizing and decision-making skills to act quickly in the best interest of the patient. Transports patients and performs medical evaluation and treatment within the scope of training. Provides leadership and direction to the other team members who assist as needed.
Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE Various scheduled shifts that include weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Hours very from 8, 16, and/or 24-hour shifts. The scheduling process is conducted by a seniority bid, conducted quarterly.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of a paramedic program
- Current National Registry Paramedic license
- Current MN Paramedic license and current WI Paramedic license (If not licensed as a WI Paramedic at hire, must have within 6 months of start date).
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification (If not present at hire, must obtain within 6 months of start date).
- Must have a valid drivers license in the state of employee residence and meet all criteria required under Lakeviews Automobile Liability Guidelines.
- Current BLS American Heart Association or BLS American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Critical care paramedic course accredited by State of WI
- Certification in NIMS IS-100, IS-200, IS-700
