Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Laboratory Information System (LIS) Manager. The Laboratory Information System (LIS) Manager will be responsible for managing an information system serving a full-scale public health laboratory, including planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the work of the Laboratory Information System.
The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 7/31/2024 with potential renewal.
Pay Rate: $49.76/hr working 40 hours a week

Healthcare Employer Fully Funded Healthcare (Anthem Blue Cross), Dental and Vision, and Life Insurance start the first of the month following initial start month.
Shifts: 100% Remote Employee will be working a minimum of 8 hours a day between the hours of 7 AM to 7 PM.
The duties of the (LIS) Manager include, but are not limited to:
Analyzing, designing, and formatting new or revising existing Laboratory Information System applications and associated test code definitions for analytical tests
Developing, designing, and formatting management reports utilizing a report-writer program
Implementing, modifying, and supporting electronic interfaces linking the Laboratory Information System to other information systems or instruments
Designing and formatting Laboratory Information System applications and conducting system-verification tests to ensure the operational accuracy of data transmission related to database/client and equipment interfaces and test code reproducibility
Modifying parameters of existing laboratory information applications to conform with updated test methodology or standard value ranges
Maintaining and updating the master test file, user and client profiles, procedure and security-clearance files, and access user levels
Developing and documenting backup procedures to ensure the viability and accessibility of laboratory information and operations in the event of a system malfunction
Minimum Requirements:
Two years of experience performing a variety of standardized clinical laboratory tests within a specialized area or across specialty lines using manual or instrumented methodology, in a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) - certified laboratory
Licensed or certified by the California Department of Public Health as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Limited Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Clinical Microbiologist Scientist, or Public Health Microbiologist
Working knowledge and experience using Sunquest laboratory information system
A valid Class C California Drivers License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions
Desirable Qualifications:
Knowledge of various laboratory information systems (e.g., Sunquest, Cerner, Epic, Meditech, etc.)
