Full Time X-Ray technologist Wall office- We are willing to train in Cat Scan 

POSITION: X-Ray Technologist

Reports To: Site Manager/ Clinical Manager

Date: 03/2023

Position Summary: Performs radiologic exams at a technical level, not

requiring constant supervision of technical details.

Main Function: The proper technical factors and patient positioning

necessary to obtain quality diagnostic images through the

safe and efficient use of imaging equipment. Assist

radiologist, physicians and other staff members to provide

protection to patients, staff and self.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs radiologic examinations with understanding of anatomical positioning, human physiology and technical factors. (daily)
2. Explain examinations to patients. (daily)
3. Assists patients on and off the table. (daily)
4. Practices sterile technique, uses universal precautions. (daily)
5. Assists radiologists in administering contrast agents. Questions patient about clinical history of symptoms, allergies to medicines and foods. (daily)
6. Produce quality diagnostic images for radiologist’s interpretation. (daily)
7. Is able to bring up radiologic equipment and take it down upon completions of the workday. Is able to troubleshoot when there is a malfunction. (daily)
8. Know office procedures. (daily)
9. Calls reports to referring physicians. (as needed)
10. Recognizes emergency patient conditions and initiates first aid and basic life support procedures. (as required)
11. Maintains a clean and neat work area. (daily)
12. Exercises proper precautions to insure safety of patient, general public and self while performing studies.
13. Has read, understands and upholds policies and procedures that are incorporated by HVI
14. Must be able transfer cases as needed from PACS.
15. Must monitor QA and QC for x-ray machines. (daily)
16. Maintains supplies and reports inventory to designee. (daily)
17. Maintains a permanent patient logbook.
18. Attends all in-service meetings
19. Prepares and updates technique book for routine x-rays.
20. Reports problems or potential problems to supervisor.
