Our Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses work in collaboration with healthcare providers and other team members at Health Ministries Clinic to deliver exceptional patient care. The RN/LPNs work alongside providers and behavioral health team members to manage patients' health and motivate them toward lifestyle changes that can optimize their health. Patient care is based on professional nursing processes. The job entails administering IV fluids, infusions, outpatient injections such as Prolia, and allergy shots. We have nursing staff opportunities in many areas, including direct patient care, population health, pediatrics, and behavioral health. Located in Newton, KS, Health Ministries Clinic is a high-functioning Community Health Center (FQHC) that seeks to promote and improve the quality of life by providing integrated healthcare services accessible to everyone in the communities we serve. We have a robust payor mix that reflects our community as a whole and maintains a commitment to serve all patients regardless of their ability to pay. We operate three main clinical service lines: Medical, Behavioral Health, and Dental. We also offer an extensive array of in-house ancillary clinical services such as Pharmacy, Lab, and Diagnostic Imaging (CT, X-ray, Dexa) not typically found in most outpatient clinic settings. Additional assistive services include transportation, on-site Spanish interpreting, case managers, care coordinators, diabetic education, and patient ambassadors. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Communicate and collaborate with providers, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimum primary care
• Create and contribute to patients' electronic medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Administer medications, vaccinations and render treatment to all ages as ordered by a healthcare provider
• Respond appropriately to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients, parents, or caregivers
• Participate in quality improvement efforts
• Counsel and educate patients and family members before, during, and after appointments
• Assist with tracking of outside lab tests, procedures, radiology, and referral reports as assigned
• Assist with tracking and maintaining a medical supply inventory

Qualifications:

• Education: Associates degree or higher (Preferred)
• License: Current Valid Registered Nurse license (Required)
