Job Summary

The Video Production Specialist is responsible for filming, editing, and producing engaging video content across various platforms. This encompasses the creation of graphical videos for HMA's platforms, content spotlighting HMA consultants and services, and coverage of HMA-sponsored events. Leveraging their strong technical skills, the Video Production Specialist enhances storytelling, branding, and content quality. Additionally, this role provides similar video editing services for client projects as needed.

Responsibilities

Work Performed and Job Requirements

• Collaborate with the digital media and communications team, marketing and thought leadership teams, and HMA subject matter experts to conceptualize and develop video content ideas that align with company objectives and target audience.
• Plan and organize video shoots including scheduling, talent coordination, equipment setup, and interviews.
• Operate video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording devices during filming sessions to capture high-quality footage.
• Edit and assemble raw video footage using industry-standard software, such as adobe premiere pro or final cut pro, to produce polished and professional videos.
• Add visual effects, graphics, and animation to enhance video content as needed.
• Ensure all video content meets brand guidelines and quality standards.
• Edit video content for HMA clients as needed.
• Manage video assets, including file organization, storage, and archival.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in video production to continuously improve skills and techniques.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for process improvement, social media best practices, platform-specific requirements, and increased video engagement.
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Training

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in film production, multimedia design, communications, or related field preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience working in video production required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
• Solid understanding of cinematography principles, lighting techniques, and audio recording
• Intermediate knowledge of social media platforms, content management systems, and email marketing platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to learning new technologies and processes
• Ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines

Working Conditions

Work is sedentary in nature and performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times.

Physical/Mental Demands

Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation; stooping, climbing, and bending to files and supplies; mobility to complete errands; stand/sit for up to eight hours each day; ability to communicate clearly when using the telephone; requires sitting; standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and twisting at times; moderate levels of stress. This position may include travel up to 10% based on company events and needs.
