TITLE: Bilingual Sexual Assault Advocate
HOURS: Full time (35 hours/week) some evenings required
PROGRAM: A New Day
SALARY: $28.10/ hourly
LOCATION: Brockton
BENEFITS: Medical, dental, holiday, paid earned leave, 403b, etc.
DUTIES: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical and Emergency Services, the Bilingual Sexual Assault Advocate will provide advocacy and case management to families and/or individuals. The Sexual Assault Advocate will work within a team approach to monitor and support efforts of program participants to overcome barriers related to advocacy goals, obtaining community resources and services, improving living skills and obtaining housing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: demonstrated experience working in partnership with victims/survivors of sexual violence.

Our programs include: - WIC nutrition assistance, including healthy foods, nutrition education, and breastfeeding support; - Education, resources, and support to assist young parents in raising healthy, happy children; - Crisis counseling and support, emerge...ncy shelter, and advocacy services for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence; - Pregnancy prevention, cancer screenings, HIV and Hepatitis C testing and prevention, and testing and treatment for other sexually transmitted infections; and, - Health care and supportive services for adjudicated youth and for formerly incarcerated individuals who are living with HIV/AIDS or Hepatitis C. These services address vulnerable families often complex needs, particularly those related to food insecurity, health disparities, and trauma.
