The Project Manager 1, reporting to the Assistant Director of Projects at the Office of Gun Violence Prevention (OGVP), enhances statewide gun violence prevention. Collaborating closely, they conduct assessments, develop tailored plans, and guide partners. The role ensures initiatives align with evidence-based strategies, fostering capacity-building and strengthening partnerships. Through monitoring and evaluation, they provide feedback for program enhancement, contributing to accurate records and program reports. Essential for advancing prevention efforts, the Project Manager 1 plays a key role in creating safer communities. The incumbent will offer technical assistance and hands-on support, in areas such as initiative design, evaluation, cultural relevance, and trauma-informed practices, to external partners involved in violence prevention efforts. Specific Duties and responsibilities include: Conduct detailed assessments of partner and stakeholder needs, organizational strengths, and areas for improvement to inform tailored capacity-building efforts within the violence prevention sector; Execute training programs, workshops, and resource delivery, aligning with OGVP's goals to enhance the skills, knowledge, and effectiveness of partners; Facilitate networking and collaboration opportunities statewide, contributing to shared learning and synergy to strengthen the collective impact of violence prevention efforts; Implement and refine strategies for documenting recruitment, retention, and satisfaction of OGVP-led programs, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records are maintained; Contribute to the development and implementation of OGVP’s initiatives by identifying and connecting with gun violence prevention partners statewide; other appropriate related duties.
