We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate therapist to join our organization. We are seeking a therapist with experience in youth mental health counseling, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will be culturally competent, adaptable, and committed to the well-being of Mississippi's youth.

What Will I Be Doing?
As a MYPAC Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in providing individual and group therapy to adolescents who are enrolled in our programs. You will serve the most critical clients and their families. You must see patients one to two times weekly: one individual session weekly and family therapy two times monthly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to identify clients' needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues.
  • Collaborating with clients, their families, and other members of the treatment team to create holistic and individualized care plans.
  • Monitoring clients' progress and making adjustments to treatment as needed to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Facilitating psychoeducational groups and workshops on topics such as coping skills, anger management, and social skills development.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills and promote a supportive work environment
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in human services discipline, including, but not limited to: Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, etc.) and 2 years’ experience working with children (experience can include internships, volunteer work, etc.)
