Job Summary

Directly report to the Cultivation Director for the performance of all duties and responsibilities. The Cultivation Technician provides daily care of marijuana plants from planting to harvest, and from harvest to drying and processing the plants. The Cultivation Technician will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the plants from clone to harvest which includes pruning, trimming, watering, and providing nutrients. The Cultivation Technician will assist with harvesting the plants and processing the plants through the hanging, drying, curing, trimming and packaging stages. Detailed recordkeeping and strict adherence to the company’s operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations is essential for this position.

Job Duties

• Daily care of marijuana plants, including watering, pruning and trimming,

inspecting the plants.

• Fertilizing and providing nutrients to the plants according to cultivation protocols set forth by the Lead Grower.
• Careful monitoring of the plants for any signs of growing issues or problems; treatment for

disease or infestation.

• Assist with de-leafing and harvesting the marijuana plants, including hanging, drying,

curing, trimming and packaging the plants.

• Continuous systematic cleaning and sanitizing of grow facility and machinery; dispose of

waste according to strict compliance guidelines.

• Accurate tracking and recording of data during each phase of the cultivation process.
• Ensure the appropriate information is accurate and listed clearly in accordance with the state regulations and company standard operating procedures.
• Carefully follow directions as provided by the Lead Grower.
• Willingness to continue to learn best practices of marijuana cultivation with a

strong interest in horticulture, agriculture, and operating systems.

• Additional job duties as assigned.

Required Education, Training, Knowledge and Experience (Describe the minimum education, training, knowledge and experience which are required to competently perform the job duties of this job).

• Must be 21 years of age or older and pass all background checks required by law.
• Must have 1-2 years prior experience
• Have working knowledge of or willingness to learn State-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance which is required for initial and continued employment.
• Prior knowledge or desire to learn about cannabis cultivation and applications and the retention of information.
• Proficiency in using basic computer skills.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D is required
• Commitment to arrive for scheduled work shifts on time and maintain consistent attendance
• Knowledge of large scale cultivation, including technical, veg, cloning, and mother care.
• Experience in indoor cannabis cultivation.

• Frequent communication with staff, management, and vendors
• Ability to reach plants on grow tables 4’-6’ above floor level
• Must be able to individually lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach and lift for long periods of time
• Must be able to handle labor centric work
• Must be able to work in a cultivation environment with moderate to loud noise level
• Must be able to work in manufacturing or production facilities with moderate to loud noise level and changing working conditions. May require use of safety equipment or personal protective equipment, as needed
• The person in this position will constantly be exposed to dust, terpenes, cleaning chemicals, high levels of Carbon Dioxide, and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
