Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide exceptional patient care and support in a dental office setting. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, ensuring a clean and sterile environment, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including but not limited to fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting surfaces
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist by passing instruments, suctioning, and retracting tissues
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with medical documentation standards
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Take vital signs and record patient medical history as necessary
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the office

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for appointment scheduling and medical coding is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry, is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay: $17.98 - $21.66 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
