Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure every patient and visitor feels valued and welcomed by providing information about our services, answering questions, and maintaining a professional, friendly demeanor.
  • Appointment Coordination: Efficiently schedule appointments, managing calendars for patients and prospective patients to optimize clinic operations.
  • Communication Hub: Serve as the first point of contact for incoming calls, directing them appropriately, and ensuring all inquiries are addressed promptly and courteously.
  • Patient Check-In: Verify patients' billing information, insurance eligibility, and demographics. Collect necessary payments and co-payments, and prepare charts for daily patient check-ins.
  • Insurance Liaison: Handle insurance-related tasks, including verifying coverage and obtaining necessary referrals, ensuring compliance and patient readiness.
  • Administrative Support: Perform various administrative duties such as drafting correspondence, managing emails, photocopying, and faxing, contributing to the clinic's smooth operation.
  • Security and Privacy: Maintain clinic security and patient privacy by adhering to protocols and controlling access from the reception area.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-2 years in a Front Desk Receptionist or office manager role, with at least 6 months in a medical receptionist position preferred. Experience with electronic medical record systems is a plus.
  • Skills: Proficiency in office and computer skills, including filing, telephone etiquette, and basic software applications. Exceptional communication abilities, with a preference for bilingual candidates (Spanish/English).
  • Attributes: A welcoming presence, attentive listening skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
