Headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command is Hiring a Food Service Worker Near Grissom AFB, IN


About the position: This position will be assigned to the Grissom Club on Grissom Air Reserve Base, Indiana.
The position is a flexible position, which means you are not guaranteed hours or benefits but could work anywhere between 0 and 40 hours per week. Flex employees will be eligible for the use of the fitness center, lodging, and other activities. Position requires working irregular schedules, to include weekends, holidays, and all shifts.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
No previous experience is required.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Responsibilities:

· Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments and cold menu items (e.g., salad, dessert, bread and cold beverages) on a serving line.
· Removes dishes and trays from tables
· Operates, breaks down and clean all electrical equipment for food preparation.
· Cleans kitchen equipment (e.g., worktables, sinks and refrigerator).
· Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses and silverware in dishwashing area.
· Loads and operates dishwasher, stores clean dishes, glasses and silverware.
· Washes tables and counters, vacuums and shampoos carpets.
· Sweeps and mops kitchen floors, cleans windows, washes walls and cleans and sanitizes trashcans.
