HCSC is Hiring a Medical Screener (Phoenixville) Near Reading, PA

Join MKBC as a Medical Screener. MKBC will train you on our donor screening processes. You will then have the option to continue in your own career path through an MKBC-sponsored 3rd party phlebotomy educational program.

In this role, the ideal employee will be trained in the Screening Process and all aspects of Mobile Collection, including loading and unloading vehicles and Fixed Collection Events. Our staff are the face of Miller-Keystone Blood Center to donors and the public. Collections Screeners work at both Fixed Site (one location) and Mobile Collection Events and are responsible for the safe collection of blood products from volunteer blood donors in a compassionate and professional manner.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED- Required
  • Excellent Customer Service Abilities

HOURS:

Full-Time Position - Day/Evening Shift

  • Every other weekend/ Holiday
  • Paid training is 8am-4 pm Monday- Friday
  • Reimbursement on Millage and paid for driving
  • Flexibility required

PAY and BONUSES:

  • The starting Rate is $15.06 an hour
  • Yearly increases
  • New Hire Bonuses: You will be eligible to receive, upon completion of 180 days of service, and successfully passing probation, a $500 retention bonus. Upon completion of 365 days of service, you will receive an additional $500. Total of $1,000 over one year of employment service.
