HCI Systems Inc. (HCI) is a licensed C-7, C-10 and C-16 low voltage systems integration contractor offering a full spectrum of services including sales, engineering, installation, service, and maintenance with over 600 employees in our seven branches across the state of California. HCI is one of the fastest growing low voltage integration and fire safety company in California.

At HCI, we offer a multitude of options for clients such as fire life safety, fire suppression, fire sprinkler, access control, video management, intrusion detection, structured cable, nurse call and other related electronic detection solutions to our customers.

We are seeking an Entry Level Sales Representative to join our growing team. Recent college graduates interested in a career in sales and non-college graduates will sales experience are encouraged to apply. In this role you will be mentored serve as the point of contact between HCI Systems Inc. and its prospects or clients and have a range of responsibilities including identifying and educating prospective customers while supporting existing clients with information and assistance that relates to products and services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Present, promote and sell HCI products and services to prospective customers.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships to ensure future sales.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Be responsible to identify customer needs and develop strategies to meet company sales objectives.
  • Find and establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers by scheduling sales calls.
  • Follow up on leads, utilizing HCI Systems marketing strategies.
  • Develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company product offerings.
  • Conduct seminars and demonstrations to identify and generate leads for prospective customers.
  • Develop financial justifications, prepare proposals, make presentations, and perform the necessary follow-up for a successful closing of the sale.
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
  • Maintain established accounts through regular customer contact in pursuit of follow up sales.
  • Participate in trade shows, special product demonstrations, and other events with the objective of increasing sales and enhancing the company’s image.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, estimates, presentations, and follow-up for a successful closing of the sale.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor ‘s degree in marketing, business, or engineering preferred or provide documentation of previous sales experience.
  • Ability to quickly identify and qualify opportunities.
  • High degree of self-discipline with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Must have excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
  • Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, success driven, have strong organizational and negotiating skills, a multi-tasker, reliable, self-determined and have excellent follow up skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
  • Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

Salary: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
