HCI Systems is Hiring a Designer/Drafter Near Pleasanton, CA
FULL TIME, NON EXEMPT, "HOURLY"
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and/or draft telecommunications shop drawings for various projects with experience to review and comprehend Arch, Civil and Dry utility plans.
- Experience in Access Control, Intrusion and Surveillance.
- Experience in Access Point capabilities and locations, mesh systems, and repeaters
- Familiar with commercial Amplifiers, preamplifiers/mixers and networked A/V systems and speaker placement.
- Work closely with the HCI Project Managers and Account Executives to complete accurate designs and prepare submittals professionally and in a timely manner.
- Manage and update electronic and physical engineering libraries, including relevant documentation and templates.
- Apply company and industry standards to shop drawings.
- Resolve design challenges through research and analysis.
- Collaborate with code officials, other trades, and building owners to ensure comprehensive designs.
- Interpret technical documents and identify design flaws and solutions.
- Communicate project status effectively to management.
- Perform document control tasks and take-offs on plans.
- Complete all relevant company paperwork.
- Familiarity with A/V control through software application is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and municipal regulations.
- NICET certification in the telecommunications field is desired.
- Experience in telecommunications design and drafting for access control, surveillance, Wi-Fi, and audio-video systems.
- Certified and/or working knowledge of PC and cloud-based.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and reliable with strong multitasking abilities.
- Ability to take initiative and drive project completion.
- Meeting background requirements.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
