Description

Knoxville Recovery Center is looking for cooks to join our kitchen! We are currently seeking the right individual to cook beautiful, clean and delicious meals in a therapeutic environment. Applicants should have a strong background in food service, be creative, and self-motivated. As a cook, you will play a crucial role in providing nutritious and balanced meals to our clients, contributing to their overall well-being during their recovery journey.

About us: Knoxville Recovery Center was founded by individuals in recovery who have first-hand experience in receiving addiction treatment, and have developed a specialized model of care that incorporates techniques that work, while eliminating those that do not. We provide supportive environment for individuals recovering from addiction and alcoholism through a diverse array of therapeutic services. Our focus is on providing excellent care while maintaining a fun, calming environment for clients and staff alike. 

Job Duties:

  • Prepare food for service and facilitate food daily schedule of Knoxville Recovery Center.
  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely manner
  • Property disposes of all food wastes..
  • Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements.
  • Adhere to established standards of hygiene and universal infection control procedures in handling all samples and supplies.

Must have:

  • A polite, friendly, and willing to learn attitude.
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking procedures
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and clients

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Cooking experience: 1-2 years (Preferred)
