Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Radiology Director and the Radiology School Program Director, the Radiologic Technology School Clinical Instructor is responsible for the direction, coordination and daily operation of the students at the Research clinical site.

What you will do in this role:

  • Clinical instruction, student supervision, student evaluation, and coordination of various clinical modality assignments in conjunction with the Program Director and Clinical Coordinator.
  • Insure appropriate training and guidance in the clinical setting.
  • Help assess the effectiveness of the overall program in Radiologic Technology while working directly with the students and assists with maintaining all standards for accreditation by the JRCERT.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic technology either a two year or four-year program.
  • Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience as a registered radiology technologist.
  • Proficient in supervision, instruction, and evaluation.
  • Familiar with standards needed for accreditation by JRCERT.
  • Proficient with diagnostic imaging equipment including associated patient monitoring equipment, PACS, scanning equipment, image generation equipment, teleradiology equipment, computers, RIS/HIS, phone, overhead projectors, fax and paging systems.
