Unlock your potential!Job Summary and QualificationsWhat You Will Do In This Role:* You will perform treatment under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist for patients that are acutely ill or have medical needs, which result in mobility and activities of daily living deficits.* You will monitor and document every therapy encounter, identify any adverse responses/follow-ups, report tolerance and progress of therapy interventions in medical record.* You will be responsible for performing patient screenings and deliver to supervising occupational therapist for determination of screen recommendations and for securing the necessary supplies for treatment.* You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Rehab team.* You will have accountability for delivering quality services and for promoting a positive image of the department.What qualifications you will need:* Associate Degree from a Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.* Physical Therapy Assistant License issued by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is required.* 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant: Acute, Inpatient Rehab, or Outpatient setting is preferred.* Current BLS certification is required.HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is a 415 bed acute care hospital that has been serving the north Houston communities for more than 40 years, providing a wide range of medical services including cardiology, maternity care, Level III NICU, pediatrics, bariatrics and neurology.
