Job Summary and Qualifications
  • Achieves professional goals set during previous evaluation period
  • Applies the nursing process to a group of patients.
  • Participates and facilitates in the case management process and cost containment for patients.
  • Cooperates with other personnel to achieve
  • Department objectives and maintain good employee relations and collaborative integration of the health care team.
  • Demonstrates accountability for direct patient care and evaluation of patient outcomes. Documents all aspects of patient care efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrates professional practice and conduct at all times.
  • Demonstrates ability to interpret patient’s EKG and manage EKG monitoring/telemetry.
  • Performs assessments and delivers care in a timely manner to facilitate the timely disposition of the ER patients, considering the acuity of the patients and patient satisfaction.

Completes other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum Education: Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing for the Registered Nurse, diploma/associate degree or higher
  • Required Licensure: RN Licensure in state of Texas, American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • 6 months to one year preferred, but not required

Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to communicate with all customers both orally and written in a clear, professional and effective manner. Provides care for patients in all age groups. This position may from time to time require that patients outside of the normal age group/groups be cared for. In this event the person should consult available resources to provide the appropriate care.
