Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Central Sterile Technician PRN, you will foster an environment of teamwork, quality and safety for our patients. You will assist the supervisor with the day-to-day operations of the supply inventory, medical equipment and specialty patient care item maintenance. You will work with professional and non-professional employees of the hospital and with physicians, patients, and their families. What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will perform delegated functions in compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• You will perform procedures related to decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instrumentation for Surgical Services and Nursing units.
• You will review sterilization records and prepare reports as assigned.
• You will demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
• You will have accountability for delivering quality services and for promoting a positive image of the department.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Certification in Sterile Processing is preferred.
• Previous experience in an Operating Room, Central Supply or other Material Management setting is preferred
