Job Summary and Qualifications

The Senior Product Analyst, Clinical Software Deployment, coordinates MEDITECH software updates and deployments with all levels of stakeholders at HCA and its partners. This role takes a leadership position in communicating with MEDITECH and recommending action and scheduling within CSG, ITG, Divisions, and facility markets. They schedule and track the status of code batches, aid in product support, setup, training, and documentation. And they identify and escalate project issues, and ensure solutions meet requirements.

Major Responsibilities:

Analysis, Design and Issue Resolution

• Routine CSD Updates – Coordinate with MEDITECH, ITG, CSG, Field, and others as needed to deploy MEDITECH code/programming updates, typically on a bi-weekly basis. These could include bug-fixes, enhancements or project work requests.

• Service Releases – Help schedule and deploy MEDITECH Service Releases (Priority Packs) in both MAGIC and Expanse. This includes go-live activation coordination.

• Audits – Respond as needed to SOx or other related requests to audit access and change logs.

• Coordinate the selection and scheduling of releases to field environments. Work with divisions to schedule upgrades to their environments based on schedules and needs. Communicate any required testing to the field and assure resources are able to track towards a set go live date

• Field communication - provide timely notice to the field on any upcoming releases, and make sure divisions are aware of any high priority issues existing in code and send updates on timing of fixes.

• Critical Thinking/Decision Making – Apply critical thinking skills to solve difficult problems with effective solutions and to make timely, informed decisions. Identify impacts to other solutions or projects, and work with other project team members and stakeholders to identify options and recommendations.

• Process Improvement Focus – Identify opportunities to improve existing processes.

• Performs other duties as assigned

• Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree preferred

• 5 years of experience in a related role required

• 3 years of experience in MEDITECH MAGIC and/or Expanse required

• 3 years of experience in release management, software development, or project management preferred, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Other/Special Qualifications:

• Moderate to deep understanding of MEDITECH MAGIC (5.6.7) and Expanse EHR Platforms required

• Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) preferred

• Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills at various levels within the organization; comfortable navigating a matrixed organization; ability to work with diverse and complex projects, teams, and technologies required

• Ability to lead others to accomplish tasks and objectives required

• Detail oriented and analytical with good organization skills required

• Demonstrated problem and issue resolution experience and creating quality deliverables required
