Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general supervision of the AVP, Analytics and Insights and the VP, Analytics and Insights, the primary responsibilities include supporting the scaling of Enterprise Growth Analytics, managing the Enterprise geographic information systems (GIS) function, scaling best-in-class locally developed analytics, and developing innovative ways to advance HCAs network integration. This occurs through the use of database systems, analysis, modeling and project management skills, delivering value added market intelligence and decision supporting optimal portfolio management and market growth opportunities

General Responsibilities:

• HCA’s GIS function, serving as a resource to Corporate and Market leaders and analysts.
• and refine statistical modeling for operating indicators such as surgical volumes, admissions, and other operating indicators.
• cross-functional team to gain knowledge of best-in-class analytical Growth Analytics products which exist within the company and scale them for extended benefit
• as SME on market share analysis including customized, non-standard, views of this data
• workshops on market intelligence tools with market Decision Support Teams, PPR and others on an occasional basis (e.g. claims data, demographics data, projection methodology, analytical mapping)
• knowledge of databases and tools such as Access, Excel, PowerBI, ESRI, etc., to help perform business analyses
• effective ways to use data in order to help the Company achieve its goals

• some of the development of advanced analytical tools using internal data, market share data, and geographic information
• advanced market intelligence on local and regional health care providers.
• and communicate various standard reports on a periodic basis.
• innovative ways to advance HCAs network integration across various assets (hospital, ER, ASC, UCC, Physicians) through the use of data and discussions with stakeholders
• data to identify opportunities for variation reduction, understands graphic representations of data and applies project-oriented expertise in identifying leading and lagging metrics.
• with health care executives in achieving organizational mission, vision and goals.
• Implement new methods to maximize planning productivity and output using business intelligence tools, statistics and other methods as needed. •
• As needed, advance the division’s priorities in regards to land banking, strategizing with real estate, civil engineering and design •
• Develop and Lead the collection, interpretation and dissemination of economic and demographic data 

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years

Education:

• Bachelors degree required
• MBA preferred

Special Qualifications:

• In depth Healthcare industry knowledge, data collection techniques and interpretation. 
• Extensive knowledge of HCA’s financial and analytical reporting systems. 
• Knowledge of descriptive statistics that analyzes data and interprets for accuracy.
• Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. 
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Effective managing and leading others toward desired outcomes, setting high performance standards and delivering high quality services.
