Medical Intensive Care Unit
HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital 12-bed intensive care unit provides highly skilled nursing for critically ill patients. Using advanced patient monitoring technology and sophisticated medical equipment, we provide continuous, comprehensive care for patients with serious conditions, including those recovering from heart attacks, surgery, stroke, severe accidents or complex illnesses.
To meet each patient's unique needs, we follow a multi-disciplinary approach that involves doctors, nurses, dieticians, pharmacists, physical and respiratory therapists and social services. Our team is dedicated to providing expert healthcare and to treating patients with the compassion and respect they deserve.
A large nurse workstation, located right outside the patient rooms, enables the ICU nursing staff to respond quickly to emergencies or any other patient need.
Position Description
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse, under the direction of Unit Director/Charge Clinical Coordinator, is responsible and accountable for patient assessment and evaluation and delivery of patient care through the utilization of the nursing process in accordance with physicians’ orders, established policies and procedures, established professional standards, and administrative hospital-wide policies.
