We are seeking a(an) Central Sterile Technician PRN for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? As a Central Sterile Technician, you will disassemble, clean, assemble, sterilize, and store procedure trays, instruments, equipment and supplies according to prescribed procedures and aseptic technique under direct supervision. In addition, you will complete requests to dispense equipment and supplies and maintaining department inventory.
Tasks and Responsibilities, you will: Assembles all instrument procedure trays and kits according to the prescribed manner using content lists as a guide. Dispenses products requested for sterile and non-sterile equipment and supplies. Assigns priority to emergency requests and issues required supplies and equipment based on knowledge of procedure intended Assembles instrument trays and supplies according to established aseptic technique. Disassembles and cleans equipment such as suction machines, IV monitors, heating pumps, wheelchairs and walkers using approved disinfectants, detergents, soaps and cleaners. Replaces lost or damaged parts such as tubes, containers and connectors from stock on hand. Examines sterilization/expiration dates on procedural trays and kits; cleans shelves and work areas and mops liquid spills from floors as necessary.
