Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to efficiently and safely obtain appropriate blood samples from patients for the performance of laboratory procedures, and for the proper processing of these samples. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:

  • Properly collect and process specimens for in-house and reference laboratory testing.
  • Maintain strict safety and infection control techniques at all times.
  • Identify patients and their personal information by reviewing their identity documents.
  • Analyze blood specimens using correct testing equipment, when necessary.
  • Prepare specimens for transportation, including labeling vials accurately and matching blood specimens to patients.
  • Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment used in the drawing and testing of blood specimens.
  • Order Laboratory supplies, as needed.
  • Practice, develop, and endorse customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers.
Job Requirements:
  • Annual BLS
  • Phlebotomy experience required
  • Successful completion of phlebotomy training program preferred
