Job Summary:

Hospital based Orthopaedic service line is seeking an energetic and motivated APP to join a well-established and cohesive group for PRN employment of Parham Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.
Qualified Candidates:

• Primary role is first response to the ED when Orthopaedic consultation is requested, including any orthopaedic injury or illness.
• Performing history and physical examinations, hospital rounding, floor consultations, admissions and discharges.
• Joint aspiration/injection, reduction of fractures/dislocations, application of casts and splints
• Developing appropriate treatment plans in accordance with Virginia state law and established treatment protocols with the Orthopaedic surgeon
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential as well as basic computer competence
• Ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience of direct patient care as an Orthopaedic APP who enjoys autonomy while collaborating with Orthopaedic Surgeons, Hospitalists, Emergency Room physicians, APPs and Nurses providing world class care to patients and their families.
• Must be board-certified in their specialty
• Virginia licensure or ability to obtain
