Job Summary:

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is assisting a community private practice with its search for a non-invasive Cardiologist.
Amavita Heart and Vascular Health is seeking a board-certified, Non-Interventional Cardiologist to join our growing team. With locations throughout Miami-Dade, we are one of the leading cardiovascular practices in South Florida and offer a wide range of cardiac and vascular services, including a robust cardiovascular imaging practice. Our practice offers a dedicated multicultural and multilingual staff providing world-class patient care. It is due to the vision of our Medical Director, Dr. Pedro Martinez-Clark, who shares a passion for research and medical innovation, that we have created a strong research division involved in developing cutting-edge treatment options, as well as a strategic alliance with HCA Mercy Florida, a leading regional healthcare system. Due to our well-rounded patient mix, our care-extension staff is qualified in treating a wide range of cardiovascular conditions including the management of hypertension, heart failure, structural heart disease, arrhythmias, peripheral artery disease, and venous insufficiency. As we utilize state-of-the-art cardiac imaging, dexterity with interpreting imaging studies is critical to this non-interventional position. This position will be based out of our brand new, Coral Gables clinic that is currently undergoing the final stages of build-out.
Minimum Qualifications 
  • Board certified/Board eligible in Cardiology 
Florida License required, or willing to obtain 
Experience in clinical cardiology - preferred 
Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish or English/Creole) 
Strong communication skills 
  • EMR experience (EClinicalWorks preferred)
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Provide clinical oversight and care-team guidance; cardiac imaging will play a large role in patient care.
  • Provide comprehensive examinations and develop appropriate individualized treatment plans 
Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies
Review and interpret various diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms, Holter reports, echocardiograms, nuclear cardiology studies, and vascular studies 
Participate in academic activities including the supervision and teaching of residents and cardiology fellows
Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and adhere to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines 
  • Identify possible research candidates and support our research division 
Stay up to date with new and emerging technologies and treatment options.
