Covenant College Students is Hiring a Theatre: Sound and Light Coordinator 24/25 Near Lookout Mountain, GA

This position is for the full academic year, open only to enrolled upperclassmen. Freshmen are not eligible to apply for this position.
Expected hours of work per week : 10-15
Work Location & Hours : Sanderson 215, typically weekday mornings
Qualifications for Position:
  • Must meet production deadlines
  • Must collaborate well with others
  • Positive attitude and flexibility in the workplace
  • Must have organizational skills and be detail-oriented
  • Creative problem-solving, sometimes in time-pressure situations
  • Previous theatre experience is a plus
  • Must have previous experience working with lights and sound
  • Hours are typically 10-15 hours/week, usually more hours during tech and dress rehearsals, fewer hours at the end of a semester
Expected Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with director and theatre manager to plan for light and sound elements in four productions a year
  • Ensure tech elements are ready for tech rehearsals by executing designs and coordinating the efforts of other crew members
  • Duties will vary with needs of production and other crew member's assignments, may include: light design, sound design, hanging lights, focusing lights, writing cues, creating sound cues, running light or soundboards during shows
  • Assist with other events in Sanderson 215 as available
