Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Principal Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience in the planning, evaluation, design, and management of municipal wastewater treatment and biosolids projects. The position will include both supporting and leading multi-disciplinary teams to effectively deliver wastewater and biosolids facility upgrades and expansions. Experience should encompass all phases of project delivery, including conceptual evaluations, detailed design, construction support, and commissioning assistance.

Responsibilities to include:

• Project management, preparation of assessment and design reports, performing design calculations, cost estimating, permitting, equipment sizing/selection, and preparation of contract documents.
• Field work and site visits from planning through construction.
• Communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in technical writing.

Qualifications Required:

• 5 to 8 years of experience in delivering wastewater and biosolids projects for municipal clients
• Must hold an active Florida Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
• B.S. degree in environmental or civil engineering with an M.S. preferred. Degree(s) in mechanical or chemical engineering will also be considered.
• Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Candidate must have strong organizational skills.
• ESRI / GIS Experience is a plus
• AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience is a plus.
